Instagram releases caption editing and discovery update

New edit option in Instagram

One of the biggest concerns amongst Instagram users was spelling mistakes, according to a recent blog post by Instagram.

With the new update photo captions can now be edited and the best bit.. if you edit a photo it won’t be re-posted so none of your followers will know it’s been edited. This recent update has come with mixed responses from it’s users, many saying this is a pointless feature. But here at InstaGain we find it a pretty hand feature, especially for the ones that make spelling mistakes or typos.

The update, which is know as version 6.2 on iOS, or 6.10 on Android also includes changes to the apps Explore options. As you can see from the image above the most obvious change is the magnifying glass. When you open this option you will see two options which are ‘Photos’ and ‘People’.

The Photos tab is exactly the same as before, containing the scrolling grid of popular photos and videos.

But the new People tab aims to point out interesting accounts for you to discover and follow, based on people you already follow and your interests.

Instagrams recent updates included a new feature called Hyperlapse. A new app to capture high-quality time lapse videos even while in motion.
